What is Zabbix?
Zabbix is an open-source monitoring platform started by Alexei Vladishev in 2001; Zabbix SIA, the company behind it, is based in Riga, Latvia. It collects data through Zabbix Agent (installed on monitored hosts), agentless methods like SNMP and IPMI, and API-based integrations, then evaluates triggers and sends notifications through configurable escalation chains.
