What is Looker?
Looker connects to data and exposes a semantic model written in LookML. Model authors define dimensions, measures, joins, and access rules; users can then explore that model and build reports or dashboards. This separation is valuable when several teams need common definitions for metrics, but those definitions still require review and ownership.
