The application canvas in Internal provides a component-based builder where tools are assembled from widgets including tables, forms, charts, lists, buttons, text, inputs, and custom components. The table component is particularly powerful, supporting inline editing, bulk actions, row-level conditional formatting, and complex filtering that makes it suitable for operational data management use cases.

Data connections in Internal support PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Airtable, Google Sheets, and external REST and GraphQL APIs. SQL queries are written in a query editor with schema autocomplete, and API calls are configured with visual request builders. Query results are made available to components through bindings, and component interactions can trigger new queries automatically.

JavaScript can be used throughout Internal applications for data transformation, conditional logic, computed values, and event handling.
