About

navanem.com is a Swiss security and IT lab built for system administrators, with one promise: everything is built & tested in real-world environments, not marketing decks. It is a solo-built, hands-on platform maintained by Emanuel De Almeida, an IT engineer based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Rather than republishing press releases, navanem turns the daily flood of security and IT noise into something a sysadmin can actually use: actionable security news, curated CVE advisories with real remediation guidance, deep-dive tutorials, troubleshooting fixes, plain-English explainers, ready-to-run scripts, open-source projects and free browser-based tools — all in one place.

The catalogue already spans security news posts, 100+ CVE advisories, dozens of tutorials and fixes, explainer articles, PowerShell scripts, open-source utilities such as SuperDelete and RoboSync, and a growing set of browser-based tools that run entirely client-side. The focus is unapologetically practical: Microsoft ecosystems (Windows, Intune, Microsoft 365, Entra ID), networking and infrastructure, and the security work that keeps them running.

Positioning

navanem bridges security headlines and operational reality. It is written for the people who actually have to patch the server, push the Intune policy and answer the on-call page — not for casual readers chasing breaking-news clicks.

  • Swiss-made for sysadmins — Independent, Switzerland-based, with no vendor agenda.
  • Tested, not theorised — Guidance comes from real-world environments, not slideware.
  • Signal over noise — Curated CVE advisories and news filtered for genuine operational impact.
  • End-to-end — From "what happened" to the script, tool or fix that resolves it.
  • Free & open — Articles, scripts and browser tools are free; projects are open source.

Why It Matters

Sysadmins are drowning in content that was never written for them. Security media chases clicks, vendor blogs sell products, and generic round-ups recycle the same press releases — leaving the person responsible for the infrastructure to figure out, alone, whether any of it actually matters to their environment.

navanem exists to close that gap. Every advisory, tutorial and fix is framed around the only question that counts in production: does this affect my systems, and what do I do about it? By pairing curated, no-noise intelligence with the scripts, open-source projects and browser tools needed to act on it, navanem turns reading-time into resolved-tickets. For a busy sysadmin, that is the difference between staying informed and staying secure.
