XCP-ng

XCP-ng is a fully open-source virtualization platform based on the Xen hypervisor, created as a community fork of Citrix XenServer (now Citrix Hypervisor). The project aims to provide an enterprise-grade virtualization solution with no feature restrictions or proprietary licensing requirements. The platform includes all enterprise features such as live migration, high availability, storage live migration, and GPU passthrough, all available without licensing fees. XCP-ng is managed through Xen Orchestra, a web-based management interface that provides VM management, backup, replication, and disaster recovery capabilities. XCP-ng is backed by Vates, a French company that provides commercial support and develops the platform alongside the open-source community. The platform has gained popularity as an alternative to VMware, particularly for organizations seeking fully open-source virtualization.
